CHRISTOPHER ALLEN ROBERTS, M.D.
ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON
About Chris
Dr. Roberts was born in Arlington, Texas and grew up in a coaching family. He was an avid athlete in all sports including baseball, basketball, and football. It was there on the field where his interest in orthopaedic surgery began. Dr. Roberts overcame his own personal sports injury, a femur fracture, while playing football. He admired the team of surgeons and physical therapists who helped him through his recovery. Dr. Roberts attended Texas Tech University and received his undergraduate degree in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, and his medical degree.
Post graduate, Dr. Roberts completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency in Jacksonville, Florida at University of Florida College of Medicine where he trained at UF Shands Hospital, Mayo Clinic at Jacksonville Hospital, and Nemours Children's Specialty Care at Wolfson Pediatric Hospital. He then continued his education at the world renowned Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas for a one year fellowship to specialize in Sports Medicine & Shoulder Reconstruction.
Recently, Dr. Roberts joined the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Venice, Florida. Continually named the"Best Orthopaedic Practice in Venice", Dr. Roberts will proudly begin serving Venice and Sarasota County communities summer of 2021.
